GMRS Repeater Gets Workover

Many hams are catching the GMRS bug, and Nathan Babcock, (W5JXT), has been instrumental with installing and maintaining many 2 meter, 70 centimeter and GMRS machines across the region. His latest project, reworking his WRKT665 repeater, was just upgraded with a PMW temperature controller board for the cooling fans and some duplexer repairs. The repeater operates on 462.650 MHz with a standard positive 5 MHz offset, and requires a 141.3 Hz CTCSS to access. Babcock also operates a GMRS repeater on 462.725 MHz, but said that it is currently offline undergoing the same upgrades as the 650 machine.
