Pecos Valley Amateur Radio Club Finds New Home
Amid mounting issues with the North Richardson venue, the PVARC was awarded a new home. A spacious classroom at the Roswell Adult Center will be the club's new home for coffee klatch's, monthly business meetings, VE testing sessions, training classes and other indoor and outdoor events. Access to the 807 N. Missouri location is from an entrance on the south side of the building. Plans are in the works for erecting a tower or masts for antennas. Many thanks are in order to the City of Roswell and those who helped with the physical and logistical move of the club. It should be noted that the Alien City Hamfest will continue to be held at Beginnings on SE Main Street.
The Pecos Valley Amateur Radio Club meets each Saturday morning at 9:00 for coffee and training events as well as their monthly business meetings on the first Saturday of each month. All meeting are open to the public regardless of whether or not they are amateur radio operators. Dates and times are subject to change if the club is involved in an activity in the field.
